About Us
Charisma's Mission
Our mission is to provide healthy and loving companion for our clients. Our ethical background is such that we value health, temperament, and overall structure above competitiveness and monetary gain.
Kennel Name
We chose the name "Charisma" because we wanted a name that embodies the spiritual and natural characteristics of our breeding programs and personal spiritual beliefs.
The word "Charisma" according to the American Heritage College Dictionary is defined as "an extraordinary power granted by the Holy Spirit" , a "magnetism or charm" and the ability to "arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm".
Our Facility
We are located on the Vermont border of upstate New York. Our farm overlooks the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. The home is a 206 year old colonial farmhouse on 10 acres of the original Windy Hill Farm. Once a several hundred acre farm in the foothills between the Green Mountains and the Adirondack Mountains, this old farm has all of the charm that a New England farm should have.

James and Titus
After professionally handling dogs for five years, James has decided to retire from handling dogs and to work toward his graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. He works for a local mental health agency in addition to his studies. James' focus is now on his career and is committed to breeding a select number of high quality litters of standard poodles to carry on the legacy of the Charisma line. James founded this show kennel over 17 years ago.

Eli
Eli joined Charisma Kennels in 2000. His love is sight hounds (especially Borzoi and Irish Wolfhounds). His dream has come true with the addition of several Borzoi, his first two litters and two promising Wolfhounds. Eli enjoys his hounds as well as remodeling of the old farm house. He has become a great partner in the endeavor to breed and exhibit superior quality dogs. Eli has a positive vision and thinks we will be able to achieve great things in the future.
