Mateo/Teo

On July 22, 2021, Rockin’Heart’s Trix Of Fate At Wynmoor ‘ N Charisma came into both of our homes and changed our lives. Teo spent much of his early life happily dividing his time between Billie and me, and although he now lives primarily with us, he remains very much loved by—and connected to—both of his families.

What began as an “empty nest” project became a passion for this extraordinary breed. There would be no Charisma Cirnechi without Billie—or without the remarkable little dog she found for us.

Teo has never met another dog he didn’t like.

His gentle, easy-going nature extends to every animal he encounters, and he approaches life with quiet confidence and kindness. While deeply loyal to our entire family, he has unmistakably chosen me as his person, and our bond is something truly special.

Like many intelligent hounds, Teo isn’t stubborn—he simply likes to understand why he’s being asked to do something. Endless repetition isn’t his style. Once he sees the purpose, however, he throws himself into the task with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to please.

Teo has demonstrated just how versatile a Cirneco can be. He has earned titles in conformation, lure coursing, Fast CAT, Barn Hunt, Scent Work, Canine Good Citizen, and is enthusiastically working toward Rally and Obedience titles. While the show ring may not be his favorite activity, he willingly does it for me.

In contrast, training sessions where we’re learning something new bring out his brightest smile. Whether racing across a lure coursing field, searching for hidden scents, or quietly resting at home, Teo gives every task his whole heart.

He is, quite simply, the dog who made us fall in love with this incredible breed.
